He, my best friend, and I have been playing and singing together for at least 20 years. I regrettably have very few photos of my father over the years, so this seemed like a good time to set up for a few shots between songs. He is a man of many faces, and has always enjoyed laughing and playing music. Dementia has really been challenging, but he still has the muscle memory for the same Neil Young songs we have been playing together for decades. He just completed a 16 month treatment program and the rate of memory and cognition loss has slowed, which is very promising. We’ll cling on to the songs he has left for as long as we can, and will remember to enjoy the moments we have for as long as we have them.\n\nI set up the backdrop and flashes before they arrived. These were shot with 2 flashes, 1 main AD200 in a soft box at 1/2 power and a backlight at full through a diffuser.\n\nThe 120 FP4 was shot at 125 (1/400, F8 for everything) developed in HC-110 dilution B for 8 minutes. The 35mm potsdam was dilution E for 6 minutes.","caption":"A man wearing a hat and a patterned shirt looks directly at the viewer.","score":103,"nsfw":false,"grayscale":true,"timestamp":1793107137,"created":"2026-10-28T00:01:38.940332Z","updated":"2026-10-28T00:01:38.940332Z","sprocket":false,"camera_make":"mamiya","camera_model":"rb67","film_make":"ilford","film_type":"fp4 plus","film_speed":125,"focal_length":127,"aperture":"f/1.4","images":[{"resolution":"low","url":"https://i.analogdb.com/1b3c3faa8c0353b2af126e39-low.jpeg","width":720,"height":720},{"resolution":"medium","url":"https://i.analogdb.com/1b3c3faa8c0353b2af126e39-medium.jpeg","width":1080,"height":1080},{"resolution":"high","url":"https://i.analogdb.com/1b3c3faa8c0353b2af126e39-high.jpeg","width":1440,"height":1440},{"resolution":"raw","url":"https://i.analogdb.com/1b3c3faa8c0353b2af126e39-raw.jpeg","width":1500,"height":1500}],"colors":[{"hex":"#bbbbbb","css":"silver","html":"gray","percent":0.25774626},{"hex":"#c9c9c9","css":"silver","html":"gray","percent":0.21344142},{"hex":"#e9e9e9","css":"lavender","html":"white","percent":0.18855832},{"hex":"#7c7c7c","css":"gray","html":"gray","percent":0.09689323},{"hex":"#dddddd","css":"gainsboro","html":"gray","percent":0.06896654}],"keywords":[{"word":"man","weight":1},{"word":"portrait","weight":0.875},{"word":"hat","weight":0.75},{"word":"shirt","weight":0.625},{"word":"monochrome","weight":0.5}]}
