I’m feeling a mix of nerves and excitement because I absolutely love capturing unique people in unusual places and scenarios, and this event ticks all the boxes.\nFor the first time, I’ve been asked to photograph an event, and I’m offering my services for free. I mentioned to the organizers that if they like my work and work ethic, we could discuss future projects. Photography has always been a hobby for me, but ever since I started shooting analog, it’s been on my mind constantly. I’m always thinking about new ways to immerse myself in these kinds of situations.\nBefore I get too carried away, I’d love to get some feedback on a few photos I took at my first event some week ago. Here are my favorite 10 shots. Any feedback is welcome, whether it’s about composition, lighting, or subject matter.\nTonight, my goal is to capture the essence of the moment as authentically as possible. I don’t edit my photos afterward, except for the occasional crop.
