After a few months with a Leica digital and having a lot of fun with that, I decided to try out some analog. I learned photography in the digital age, so I never had that nostalgic connection with film photography, though I did take a class in high school a couple decades ago and managed to not ever figure out how to work with it. \n\nSo far I've been exploring various film stocks to see how they look in different settings and to try to learn how to scan and edit my own negatives (lab-developed). The editing process is a little bit wonky to me as some images are really challenging to get the colors to even closely resemble reality (mosty with dominant color fields in the shot). I am using my digital Leica for reference shots just to get a base idea.
