This time, I brought along \"THE CHONKER\" - my [hilariously-large-and-heavy Mamiya RB67 \"medium format\" film camera](https://imgur.com/a/t191fL1). It's a complicated beast and this was only my second outing with it so I wasn't expecting too much. I've just gotten the scans back from our local photo lab and I'm very happy to report that I managed to get some good pics!\n\nThis time around we headed towards Susanville, CA where we spent a pleasant night before heading for home the following day. We took an unnecessarily long route home, following the Feather River for several hours. At one point we came upon a crazy sight: two criss-crossed metal bridges, one passing directly over the other!\n\nI'd just set THE CHONKER onto its tripod when we realized that a trio of locomotives was about to blast across the upper bridge. I had literally just latched the camera down and barely had time to wind the film, cock the shutter, and hit the shutter release... all without taking a light reading or setting the aperture or shutter speed or *anything…* So believe me when I say that I'm delighted that I managed to capture a semi-decent pic of that amazing moment!\n\nIf I'd had more time I would've framed it better and gotten a clearer exposure, but still, I'm pretty happy  :-)","score":45,"nsfw":false,"grayscale":false,"timestamp":1768011900,"sprocket":false,"camera_make":"mamiya","camera_model":"rb67 pro-s","film_make":"kodak","film_type":"gold 200","film_speed":200,"focal_length":90,"images":[{"resolution":"low","url":"https://d3i73ktnzbi69i.cloudfront.net/45f5e03a-8a8c-4fef-947b-78d8c13a7ed1.jpeg","width":720,"height":587},{"resolution":"medium","url":"https://d3i73ktnzbi69i.cloudfront.net/b9f4e32d-7561-46e9-821c-a967150aa25d.jpeg","width":1080,"height":881},{"resolution":"high","url":"https://d3i73ktnzbi69i.cloudfront.net/0f3d58cb-0850-41e3-8c2c-c82d1e54b137.jpeg","width":1440,"height":1175},{"resolution":"raw","url":"https://d3i73ktnzbi69i.cloudfront.net/6ccc7a65-f746-4a03-8cd2-6b2e57d49986.jpeg","width":2048,"height":1671}],"colors":[{"hex":"#343202","css":"darkgreen","html":"black","percent":0.58427963},{"hex":"#3f4847","css":"darkslategray","html":"gray","percent":0.15695138},{"hex":"#afa6a1","css":"darkgrey","html":"gray","percent":0.14562034},{"hex":"#7b755e","css":"dimgray","html":"gray","percent":0.07709514},{"hex":"#ffffff","css":"white","html":"white","percent":0.03605352}],"keywords":[{"word":"bridge","weight":0.25},{"word":"locomotive","weight":0.125},{"word":"gold","weight":0.125},{"word":"kodak","weight":0.125},{"word":"mamiya","weight":0.125},{"word":"rb67","weight":0.125},{"word":"river","weight":0.125}]}
