{"id":24546,"title":"Wombarra Rock Pool [Voigtlander VF35F, Voigtar 38mm f/2.8, Flic Film Elektra 100]","author":"ComprehensivePear970","permalink":"https://www.reddit.com/r/analog/comments/1ejrh7l/wombarra_rock_pool_voigtlander_vf35f_voigtar_38mm/","description":"Despite being less than 70km from the centre of Sydney, Wombarra and it's exceptional beach and rock pool are only accessible by deviating about 30 minutes off the main north-south highway that connects Sydney to Wollongong and points beyond down the coast. \n\nThis means that on all but the busiest days of summer, the beach is only attended by area locals, of which there are too few to ever disturb the peace of the place. \n\nThe view from the pool across the ocean and down the coast is classic coastal New South Wales. \n\nI'm still getting used to the little Voigtlander rangefinder, and being more cognisant that the frame lines are your crop - not the whole viewfinder. Exposure is completely automated, no manual controls here. It's done a fine job despite being limited to three shutter speeds (1/60,1/125,1/250). As expected it targets f/8-f/11 (there is an exposure readout in the viewfinder that confirms aperture and over/under exposure), only stopping down to smaller apertures in bright sun and only wide open in lower light. \n\nI love Kodak Aerocolor IV (Elektra being a respool of this stock by Flic Film) for landscapes, the saturation of colour and decently fine grain translate well. I've got a few rolls of it left in the freezer and I'll probably get more when it's all been shot.
