I traveled from DC and back again in about 6 days with a GW690, 6 rolls of Velvia 50, and about 20 sheets of 8x10 film.  Itinerary was DC to Erie PA, then to Niagara, then to Utica where I stopped due to a snowstorm, through the Adirondacks to Burlington VT.  At this point I caught a cold with a high fever and beelined to the Maine -> Canada border, where I then stayed in a hotel and drove back to DC the next day.  My trip was cut at least a week short by my illness and I missed a lot of exploration along the way, but for a week, my haul was pretty good.\n\nI had a plan for two series from my visit, one would be “closed for the season” and the other would be portraits of strangers somewhat inspired by Alec Soth’s Niagara and some of Gordon Parks’ work in the northeast.  Instead I sorta just have a jumble of barely related stuff.
